Area view of Ikeja Central Church after the divine service
28 August 2026

On the 22nd of August 2026, the New Apostolic Church Nigeria gathered for a solemn Festive Divine Service for Ministers and wives at Ikeja Central Church, conducted by District Apostle Martin Rheinberger. The word served from the altar was based on Mark 14:6: “She has done a beautiful thing to me.” The service was transmitted Live with many of our brethren connecting to the YouTube Channel.

The District Apostle reminded that our assembly before the Lord is not merely a meeting of servants carrying out a duty, but a gathering of believers living in the peace and victory of the resurrected Christ. Even as we journey through the dry and wilderness seasons of life, our heavenly Father faithfully preserves His children and imparts living hope. The divine peace of the Living One remains our steadfast anchor, even amidst trials and hardship.

Called to Serve:
In the main message, the District Apostle emphasized that ministry is a sacred, divine calling, not a title, position, or earthly office. When we humbly place even our smallest talents into the hands ofthe Lord, His grace multiplies them to accomplish great things for His work. We are called to serve God and His congregation with heart-felt humility, unwavering faithfulness, and genuine love. Co-serving at the altar under the theme

The following Lead Apostles took part in the service: Lead Apostle Benjamin Saffo (Ghana) and Lead Apostle Yedenou Vincent (Benin and Togo)

Acts of Ministry:
The divine service was further crowned by significant acts of blessing and transition in the work of God:

  • Retirement: 6 District Rectors were honourably relieved of their active duties with sincere thanks for their years of devoted labour.
  • Appointment: 14 ministers were appointed as District Rectors.
  • Assignment: 13 ministers received assignments as District Rector Delegates.

All Apostles in Nigeria as well as retired Apostles and Bishops with their wives, and all District Rectors in Nigeria were invited to attend the festive divine service.

We thank the Lord for this rich spiritual feast, which refreshed our hearts and renewed our collective commitment to serve faithfully until the return of Jesus Christ.
