Events are more than gatherings; they are transformative experiences that leave indelible marks on the audiences. So, it was moments of wonder, precision, and innovation as youths from South Central Area of Nigeria gathered in Four Towns, Uyo from Thursday 10th to Sunday 13th of September 2026 for their Annual Convention tagged "Don’t be afraid; just believe " Mark 5:36
There was a distinct shift in the air, a blend of reflection, information, celebrations, fun, and excitement. The gathering features carnival float, song competition, outdoor activities, seminars/ interactive sessions with Lead Apostle Oscar Nwanza, and the host, Apostle Armstrong Inyang. The surprised visit of the Lead Apostle was very remarkable, which culminated in two divine services in one youth gathering on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
„Double Yes, and double No!”
Addressing the young people during the divine service, the Lead Apostle read a text word from 1 Chronicles 28:20 "...Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed for the Lord God, my God will be with you..." Assuring them of a secured and bright future, Lead Apostle Nwanza on Saturday morning pleaded them to always remember the vows they had made .
'Let your YES be YES and your NO be NO.'
He posited, reminding them of Abraham who in his difficult circumstances remain resolute in his YES of obedience and YES of faith and how Joseph refused enticing influences by standing firm in his NO of obedience and NO of faith.
„We are crown with Glory and Honour”
The gathering climaxed on Sunday with a festive divine service with 1182 in attendance. It was beautiful and glorious moment as the choir set the tone: "Give of your best to the Master in the strength of your youth." Apostle Armstrong Inyang officiating, read Psalm 8: 4 - 5 "What is man that You are mindful of him and the son of man that You visit him?... you have crowned him with glory and honour. " The Apostle said our relationship with God defines our identity, insisting that we are loved by God just as we are (Isaiah 43:1).
Speaking on the theme: 'Who Am I?"
He stressed that we have been called, chosen and elected by grace, crown with glory and honour, numbered among the firstlings. Concluding, Apostle Inyang reminded all that the dignity bestow upon us by God entails our responsibility towards our neighbours, and that is who we are. He cautioned on belittling others or treat them with disrespect, for whatever reason.
Two District Rectors and a Youth Leader assisted at the altar. A young couple was sealed, and one youth leader was ordained a priest.
