The arrival of Lead Aostle Nwanza , Apostles Udoh and Kpegasin at the Poly Arena
22 October 2026

Lead Apostle Oscar Nwanza has concluded a spiritually enriching pastoral visit to the South South and South West Working Areas of the New Apostolic Church Nigeria. The visit featured Divine Service, a youth fellowship and musical celebrations, and it culminated in a joint Ogoni Unity Divine Service at Kenule Beeson Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic, Bori.

A week of fellowship and worship
The visit began on 13 October 2026 with a musical concert at Nweol Congregation in Bera District, South South Working Area. On 14 October, the Lead Apostle conducted a Youth Divine Service at Nugbe Congregation, Biara District, which drew young members from the Bera, Bodo City, Biara and Lewe Districts. He then travelled to the South West Working Area, where he conducted divine services at Nonwa Congregation on 16 October and Kpite Congregation on 17 October.

The Ogoni Unity Divine Service
The highlight of the visit came on 18 October, when 1,683 members from both Working Areas gathered at Kenule Beeson Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic, Bori, for the Ogoni Unity Divine Service. Message: Lord Jesus Christ, I Want to Remain with You. Bible Text: John 6:66-69

The service centered on remaining steadfast in Jesus Christ and His Church, regardless of life's challenges, misunderstandings or personal disappointments. Reflecting on Christ as the Bread of Life, the sermon recalled how many followers walked away when they struggled to grasp His teaching. Apostle Peter, however, recognized that Christ alone holds the words of eternal life, declaring, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life" (John 6:68). Members were urged not to let pride, ego, financial interests, conflicts or offences weaken their faith or separate them from Christ. Instead, they were encouraged to:

  • Deepen their understanding of the Gospel
  • Seek first the Kingdom of God
  • Practice genuine forgiveness
  • Turn to God in prayer during difficult times

The message affirmed that Jesus Christ remains the ultimate source of peace, love and eternal life, and members were called to live out these values daily and stay faithful to their Christian calling.
