Lead Apostle Oscar Nwanza concluded a three-day pastoral visit to the New Apostolic Church Nigeria, Mid-East Working Area Aba, from 7th to 9th October 2026, visiting Amankwo, Oberete, and Ngwaobi congregations in their respective districts.

On 7th October, at Amankwo Congregation in Umuahia District, he conducted a mid-week Divine Service based on Luke 14:11: “For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Theme: “Take a lowly place”
he encouraged members to reject pride and embrace humility in their service to God. The Amankwo service was marked by special spiritual blessings as three souls received the gift of the Holy Spirit, while a brother was ordained as a Priest. These significant events brought joy to the congregation and highlighted the continued growth of the Church.

On 8th October, Lead Apostle Nwanza visited Oberete Congregation in Oberete District, where he delivered a message based on 1 John 4:14: “And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world.” He emphasized God’s faithfulness through Jesus Christ and encouraged members to remain steadfast in faith and prepare for Christ’s return.

During the Oberete service, he called Apostle Chima Ibekwe, District Elder Stephen Onyebuchi, and District Elder Achor Samuel to serve alongside.

The pastoral visit concluded on 9th October at Ngwaobi Congregation in Owerrinta District, where Lead Apostle Nwanza ministered from Matthew 5:37: “But let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No.' For whatever is more than these is from the evil one”

“Learn how to say the truth”
encouraged members, especially young people, to uphold honesty, acknowledge their shortcomings, and demonstrate faith and obedience in their Christian lives. A major highlight of the concluding service at Ngwaobi was the ordination of one Priest and two Deacons, marking another significant moment in the spiritual development of the Church. Apostle Chima Ibekwe, District Elder Ugochukwu Nwankpa, and District Evangelist Japheth Chigbu served alongside.

Throughout the three-day visit, the congregations experienced spiritual encouragement, ministerial fellowship, and renewed commitment to God’s work. The services reinforced the importance of humility, faith in Jesus Christ, truthfulness, and obedience in the lives of believers.

The reception of the Holy Spirit by three souls at Amankwo and the ordinations at Amankwo and Ngwaobi were among the visit’s outstanding spiritual highlights, bringing joy to the congregations and strengthening their commitment to the Christian faith.

The pastoral visit concluded with a renewed call for members across the Mid-East Working Area to remain faithful to their Christian calling, serve God with sincere hearts, and continue growing spiritually as they await the return of Jesus Christ.
